Our Story
Modern Generation Electric is a fully insured, bonded, and licensed electrical contractor based in New York City. With over 15 years of experience, we specialize in residential and commercial electrical work. Our residential division consists of master electricians who work on luxurious mansions, townhouses, and apartments in NYC's top real estate. The commercial division handles many projects, including office spaces, retail, hospitality, healthcare, and multi-family properties. Modern Generation Electric offers low-voltage installations such as cameras, speakers, and data and smart system lighting controls. We are known for our competitive prices and quality work. The founders, Marjan Gjokaj and Gentjan Qarri have a strong background in the electrical field and are dedicated to providing excellent service.
Meet The Team
My journey in the electrical trade began in 2009 when I discovered my passion while working on my home in Albania. Pursuing the American Dream, I faced obstacles that led me to Germany, where I honed my skills at a trades school until 2017. Certified in the Ausbildung system, I started my career in the United States that same year, co-founding Modern Generation Electric INC. with partner Gentjan. Committed to excellence and superior service, we illuminate homes and businesses, understanding that each flicker of light ensures that with us, your day shines brighter.
With humble beginnings as an apprentice for my uncle in Shkoder, Albania, I embarked on my journey in the electrical field. My academic pursuits led me to earn certifications from Technical High School Arben Broci and Electric Technical School, Don Bosco, both in Shkoder. Drawing from my extensive practical experience, which includes serving as an Electric Technician Supervisor at the B52 energy drink factory in Albania from 2006 to 2015, having honed my skills and expertise. I am committed to delivering exceptional results and contributing positively to every project we undertake.
